Dynamic Character: WARNING: DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY READ THE HUNGER GAMES
The dynamic character is Katniss Everdeen, the female tribute from District Twelve. She goes through a big change in the story, she falls in love. Well she was already in love with her best friend Gale Hawthorne, but she also starts to fall in love with the other tribute from District Twelve Peeta Mellark. In the begining she thought she would kill Peeta right away, or let him be killed by someone else. In the end of the story she almost kills herself trying to save him.
Katniss also changes her oppion on the government. At first she thinks the government is bad but could be worse and that challenging the government would be pointless and stupid.(because it would just get you killed) The book ends with Katniss defying the Capital in a big way, at first she didn't even know she did it. She wasen't thinking about the Capital and how to challenge it , she was thinking about how she could save Peeta.
Static Character:
The static character of the story is Prim Everdeen, Katniss's little sister. Prim is twelve years old and is just now old enough to be chosen for the games. No one thinks that she would be chosen because she only has her name in the drawing once,well they all thought that untill she was picked. Throughout the book Prim is young and fragile except when she is helping her mom. She is always worried about her sister and wants their life to change.
Round Character:
The round character is also Katniss Everdeen, who soon becomes know as the girl on fire. She is descibed well and the readers know her thoughts and feelings. She is the main character and the book is written from her eyes or how she sees things. The author wants you to conecct with this character and agree with how she thinks.
Flat Character:
A flat character is Gale Hawthorne, Katniss's best friend. He is one of Katniss's few friends and soon becomes one of the men she loves. He doesn't voice his opinion much unless he is in the woods with Katniss. He is reffered to many times in the book from one of Katniss's memories but other then that only talks two or three times. Katniss and Gale became hunting partners before they became friends. They hunt all the time even though it is illegal, and she what the catch or shoot.
